  • Warm jacket for evenings and mornings.
  • 3 sets hunting clothes (Drab olive green or
    natural bush colors. Camouflage optional.)
  • 1 pr hiking boots (comfortable.)
  • 1 pr Tennis shoes.
  • 6 pr socks.
  • Underwear.
  • 2 sweatshirts or sweaters.
  • 1 pr jeans or casual pants.
  • 2 cotton shirts.
  • 1 Hat with brim.
  • 1 pr light gloves (leather.)
  • 1 pr sweatpants (optiona.)

    Firearms

  • 1 or 2 Rifles. Min caliber for plains game 270.
  • Min 375 H&H for dangerous game.
  • ± 50 rnds. per rifle (good construction bullet.)
  • Solid bullets for dangerous game.
  • Lockable hard gun case.
  • Ammo cannot be packed with guns. Pack separate in
    lockable case in clothing bag.
  • Gun cleaning kit (oil, brushes, wipes.)
  • Wrap solvent & oil in plastic bag.
  • Ammo holder (belt or on rifle.)
  • Earplugs for zeroing.

  • Valid Passport (visa if needed)
  • Gun registration – US customs form
  • Wallet – Credit cards – traveler’s checks – cash
  • Copy of hunt prices agreed upon and deposit receipts
  • It is recommended that you provide for your own travel insurance, covering personal accident, medical
    expenses and baggage

  • Small first aid kit to include:
    Lip balm, ambesol (toothache), eye drops, Moleskin, aspirin, Tylenol, first aid cream, Motion sickness medicine, diarrhea tablets and Band-Aids
  • Malaria pills ( if needed)
  • Prescription medicine (take extra)
  • Antibiotics (consult doctor)
  • Recommend doctor & dentist 1-month prior to visit
  • Eyeglasses (2 pair with cases)

    Toiletries

  • Comb, toothbrush & toothpaste
  • Shave cream, razor
  • Nail clippers
  • Deodorant, shampoo, Qtips

  • Candy, cigarettes (instant coffee optional)

  • Any liquor can be purchased at Duty Free shop at airport

    Take note: Most African countries have 220 Volt power. Do not try and operate
    110 Volt apparatus on this power. Ask P.H. if 110 Volt transformers
    are available or take a converter with dual 110\225 volts
